Dear Father, you have created me for your service.

Since you have given me a place in your loving plan, I will always, with you help, trust you completely.

May my present sickness serve you; and I offer myself into your hands with all my worries and sorrows. If ever I am utterly tired or unable to sleep, may you accept those trials too as my gift to you, unworthy though I am.

Let this offering give strength to the hearts of missionaries and all who labour or suffer pain in order to make Jesus Christ in his glory known to all men and women.
